For Therapists

Support your clients between sessions

You see your clients for an hour a week. Cove is a voice companion that helps them carry your work into the other 167 — reinforcing your techniques, with your clinical relationship always at the center.

Built to support your work, never replace it

Between-session practice is widely linked with better outcomes — and it's also the hardest part for clients to sustain alone. Cove is designed to extend your work into that gap, not to step into your role.

Reinforces your techniques

Cove helps clients revisit and practise the skills you've introduced — thought records, grounding exercises, agreed-upon tasks — in the moments they actually come up.

Pre-session summaries

With the client's consent, you receive a concise summary of themes, moods, and progress before a session — so you start where you left off instead of reconstructing the week.

A signal between visits

Patterns that surface between appointments — a recurring theme, a shift in mood — become useful context for your next session, with the client's permission.

Always points back to you

Cove is positioned to clients as a companion alongside therapy. It encourages professional support and keeps your relationship central.

The client stays in control

On safety: Cove is not a crisis service. If it detects serious distress, it surfaces resources such as the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line (text HOME to 741741), and 911 — and, with the client's consent, can flag that a check-in may be needed. It does not provide diagnosis or treatment.

Common questions

Does Cove replace therapy?

No. Cove is explicitly designed to support a client's existing therapy, not replace it. It reinforces the techniques you teach and helps clients practise between appointments, and it encourages professional support.

What information do I receive?

Only with the client's explicit opt-in, and only summaries of themes, moods, and progress — never full transcripts. The client controls what's shared and can revoke access at any time.

How does Cove handle client safety?

Cove is not a crisis service. If it detects serious distress, it surfaces resources such as 988 and 911, and — with the client's consent — can flag that a check-in may be needed. It does not diagnose or treat.

Can I refer clients?

Yes. Cove offers a referral program for clinicians. Get in touch and we'll share how it works and the materials you can use with clients.
